Changing MMSI numbers

Happy New Year.

I'm intending to buy a boat which has a Dutch MMSI number programmed into its AIS and VHF.

The AIS is an EasyTRX device and it looks like the manufacturer will change it via the internet and a connected PC.

The VHF is a Raymarine RAY215E which needs to be returned to a dealer. I wonder if anyone here knows the magic code or method which would enable me to do it myself?

Hi Richard,

I haven't bought the boat yet so I haven't tried anything. Because it's in Holland, I want to be prepared.

It's not so much the cost that bothers me (a one-off in a much more expensive purchase) as the inconvenience.

Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll print the instructions before we go (assuming the purchase goes ahead).
