Changing A deck Colour (RIB)??? Flowcoat....

Afternoon all,

Anybody got any expereince or hints/tips for changing the colour of a flow-coated deck?

Specifically, it's an orange rib, that we'd like to turn white or light grey. I know it won't be easy, but how opaque is flowcoat? Will it cover it completely with a few coats?

+1, or use ready mixed deck paint. (cheapskates use masonry paint with a bit of sand in it)

I used this: https://www.premiermarinepaints.co.uk/types/anti-slip-deck-paint and it worked well, the beige pretty much covered a faded blue/green in one coat, though I'd put at least two on.

If the deck is textured, it will be prone to chipping paint off.

I suspect that's largely due to the difficulty in preparing a textured surface.

I used something like this on my boat with moulded "non-slip" and I've got a few chips after 5+ years, but it's generally OK
