Just moved our Jeanneau Sunlight 30 to Fethiye (very nice by the way), but could only find two chandlers on the main stretch (expensive and poor stock), and no 'fix it' guys anywhere. I assume they are hiding somewhere, so a clue would be nice, anyone??? Ideally looking for someone that could supply and fit an electric windlass (not too dear). We know about the guys in Marmaris (Demir is great!), but it took us two days to get to Fethiye in our old tub, and we really don't have the time for a return trip in our limited hols.
cheers for advice!

you should have asked this friday Ive just come back after spending the weekend out there.

There is a Calis beach forum:www.calis-beach.co.uk/forum you will get loads of help there from residents. There is at least one brit boat owner on the forum -handle is Sinbad - you may even get a brit to do it for you.

By the way how much does it cost to keep a boat out there, is the documentation difficult we have heard the turks have all kinds of rules about keeping and using boats

Sorry for the delays in responding. Thanks everyone. Will try all recommended. Fethiye (Ece Saray) marina is fantastic. Has no boatyard sorts of facilities, but the marina guys and office are great, and the shop, cafe (restaurant) and comfort facilities are great. Only £984 per annum for a 30ft yacht, compared with about £1,400 at Gocek. Right on the town without the usual 'disco noise' of many bigger towns. Paperwork was a nightmare for us as we bought the boat in Turkey. The marina office were great, one of the girls even came to customs and passport control with us to sort out one of our issues. It is a problem I believe for other people to use your boat without owner on board, if you want friends family to use it. Loads of info on www.allaboutturkey.com/boatrules.htm
hope this helps
Amanda
