Thanks for all the useful replies,as a result of the info in the replies, I haven't gone down the buy from a USA chandler route, I've discovered, through a series of emails, the UK importer and discovered that they are expecting a stock of the MiniVent 1000 in mid November. So I'm going to buy direct from them. The price including VAT, is significantly less than that advertised on Google UK (sourced from the USA). So hopefully I'll have solved the problem of replacing my solar vents.
