Chandleries - a sorry state of affairs.

Today I have telephoned 11 chandlers in the area stretching form Chichester to Lymington, none of them stock either white lead paste or red lead powder, some dont know what it is, some have never heard of it and some say it was banned 'many years ago'.

Try Starbucks ( It is a chandlers not a coffee shop) at Grevesend Ive been advisedby a yacht wright friend that they still sell red led powder. They are very friendly and may send it to you if you cannot collect their number is 01474350671.
