Hoping to arrive at Newtown Creek between 4pm and 5pm this evening. What are the chances of getting a visitor buoy? Shame there's not a webcam

Is the The New Inn the nearest pub?

Always possible but unlikely lol.

Just a word of warning, we were there 10 weeks ago and drifted back onto one of the concrete mooring blocks, have just been re launched after needing a new rudder made and props welded!

We have been lucky a couple of times , just anchor and keep an eye out or someone leaving .
Jurgen , how close to the buoy were you to get tangled with the block ?. I had never thought of any sticky uppy bits in newtown , just soft mud .
Hope all goes well with the relaunch BTW  nice weekend for it .

Just one thing: I'd be careful in assuming it's all mud as the NT bloke told me last year that there's a surprising amount of mooring detritus on the seabed there. Also its quite a low springs this w/e (0.4m) and with LW today at 17:30 you'll probably have to use the rickety pontoon in the lagoon and walk around the often muddy path to the New Inn, as opposed to tendering right up to Shafleet.
