Just went down to the boat (22'0" centre console T-top with 2x 85ph).
Had 25+knot winds last few days and more to com.

One anchor line chafed through at the fairlead.
Other anchor line threaded twice though the D ring OK.
Stern like (always kept slack) is OK.

Have now changed the chafed line with a 1" rope.

Life there must be a real chore. Not jealous, not jealous at all !!!

Grass is always greener etc.

Currently upset with the electrician.
Told him to revamp electrics.
1. First he ran the batteries flat.
2. The fuel gauge does not work now.
3. The engine trim gauges still do not work.
4. Then when I launched the boat there was no power to either of the engines from the ignition. He then 'fixed' this.
5. Then visited the boat after heavy rain - bilge pumps do not work (still don't).
6. Today trim on Port engine stopped working.
Today back to ignition problems on Port engine, kill switch and key 'engine off' do not work.

 :mad-new:

Thinking in investing in DIY boat engine electrics and do the darn stuff myself.

PS This is after the prop slipping on the 'rubber' hub. - New prop needed.

Did I mention that I pay 60% Duty etc on the CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) of the part.

I am going to have to sit on the beach and drink rum and coconut water, until it is back in operation again.
