Cetrec Battery Charger

Cetrec charger has suddenly reverted to giving no more than a trickle charge . The charger is installed in difficult to get to part of the boat so unable to see the model number. The charger is yellow has positive & negative connections at the front also a terminal marked "IR" which has a link connecting it to positive terminal.
Can anyone assist in identifying reason for reduced output . What does "IR" stand for

The IR bit is probably a temperature sensor, thinnish cable with a terminal lug to bolt to the battery post.

What happens when you put a load on the battery, say a few lights ?

Cetrec Batterey Charger

No connector on the IR terminal apart from link to the 12 volt + output.
When load applied , battery voltage reduces
