Centurion 32

Very pretty long fin and skeg, v. solidly built, looks a bit like a slightly enlarged She 31. The interior is very high quality, but given the age this may be in need of renovation.

As forecast by Sailorman I have come along!
Had one for 16 years and then sold her to my son! A very solidly built boat with a well crafted interior.
Good points: Sails well, sea kindly and dry. Slightly slower than a Contessa 32 upwind but more steady downwind and usually rated 1 point slower on handicap. Excellent large and deep cockpit. Good locker space. Excellent chart table. Comfortable dinette for both sleeping and eating. Sensible, simple and strong masthead rig.
Bad Points: Galley floor space for feet is offset and restricted by engine compartment. Heads door gets in the way. We took ours off and replaced with a Sadler 29 type forecabin curtain. Horse in middle of cockpit(early models) not the safest place. Short "P" bracket prone to working loose, especially with original Volvo engine. Offset propeller can make steering astern interesting. Can hobby horse in a short chop.
General: Like many thoroughbread yachts sail trim is very important and, in particular, getting the slot parallel makes a huge difference when going to windward. Engine access may be difficult with the Volvo engine. We sailed to Britanny, Southern Ireland, the Baltic twice and round Great Britain and if increasing age had not meant we needed greater space and comfort would have had no hesitation in continuing to own her. A proper yacht!
KK will be along nxt week with a report

If there is anyway you get this and I really hope you do.

I have a very funny feeling I am currently sat on your boat you sold to your son, I do believe you had her on the hard in North farmbridge, Essex. It would be lovely if you could get in touch!!! Sold her just under a year ago?
