Thinking of getting a fixed windscreen for my CC yacht, al la Halberg Rassy. The cockpit cowling is curved which would better fix a curved windscreen, similar to one I’ve seen on a Moody but that’s manufactured in a “bent plastic material”. But would consider a fitting an angled windscreen with glass panels. So can anyone give me some advice, information on fixed windscreens as regards manufactures, best material, glass of “plastic” frame material etc?

Thanks

Peter

See if you can find a car windscreen that would suit. It's easier to get a frame made to suit a windscreen than to get a windscreen made to suit a frame.

It's worth considering fitting a windscreen wiper, but only on a glass windscreen. Salt crystals (as found on a drying windscreen) will rapidly scratch a plastic screen.
