One of the cushions in my saloon is a bit collapsed ... the fabric seems fine, and I think is quite recent, but the foam has squashed badly. No zip, so replacement would involve some cutting and shutting. I'm thinking of doing it myself, but I'd be interested to get a quote from professionals first ... can anyone suggest an upholsterer near the Clyde or Forth who would might take on the job?

Currently having upholstery replaced by Jessail in Ardrossan. Not seen the result yet but met at Scottish Boat Show and very efficient service so far. Don't think there's a website but you can get a contact via Google.

She and her team are brilliant. Did a LOT of work for us. Specialises in Marine work.
From a very happy customer.

Many thanks for these ideas. I hope to visit the boat (on Bute) this week or next, so will bring the offending cushion back on the ferry and get some opinions, starting with Jessail.

Speak to Sally at Jessail in Ardrossan. Great workmanship, great price, and nice friendly people.

We tried to get cushions made by jessail a couple of years ago, she came out measured up then never bothered to do the job! We ended up getting the job done by an upholstery shop in Nelson street largs (Largs upholstery) & he's been spot on & doesn't charge the marine surcharge
I've seen other threads on here mention no shows from jessail & cover craft & the sail makers in Largs too
These guys obviously do some good work but must take on too much at times & end up disappointing customers
I'd search some old threads for covers & cushions to get a little ballance before you commit to a particular supplier
