I have a Somy boiler (diesel, drip feed) which feeds 5 radiators placed around the boat. I have 2 problems; there is a small leak on the steel piping to one radiator and secondly the circulation pump is noisy. I know this readership can answer the following for me.
Can I replace the steel piping with a plastic variety?
Can I get a quiet pump?
Can I remove all the radiators and run the boiler/fire on its own?
I think I prefer the last option if it's possible... ?

TIA

Assuming they are standard domestic type rads (?) you could use either plastic or copper pipe - 10mm would be suitable and is easy to bend. You would need the last 1m into the boiler in copper if you were using plastic but beyond that its just as suitable.

Thank-you for your replies. It's interesting to hear that plastic pipe is suitable despite the heat.
As for the pump I shall indeed ask Energy-Solutions if there is an answer - I also have a particularly annoying freezer pump too!
