Centaur Charging Profile AGM/Other

Hi Guys,

I'm buying a VMF 250AH 12v AGM Battery however in the tech sheet it shows float - 13.6 to 13.8 VDC/unit average at 25 degrees c and equalization and cycle service 14.6 to 14.8 VDC/unit average at 25 degrees c

The centaur charging profiles show
AGM - 14.3 Absorb and 13.3 float and OTHER - 14.7v absorb and 13.7 float

so does this mean I set the charger to OTHER and not AGM, what would happen if it was set to agm does it shorten the life?

I’ve used the pre-set charge profile that closely matches the battery manufacture’s charge specification. So I have AGM’s but I’m using Spiral Cell charge profile as it closely matches the Victron battery specification. So, I’d use the charge profile that closely matches the battery spec, regardless of what name that profile is given by the charger manufacturer.

Th "Other" profile perfectly matches the tech sheet figures that you quoted, so use that.
