Has anyone any experience or views on the Morart trimming tool for reducing caulk height? This is from the Hallberg Rassy site
Teak Deck Caulking Knife

It appears to be a tool used in the flooring industry for cutting down welded seams on vinyl floors so is available through other outlets. Is it worth the cost? Are there any other good alternative? I have a 43 foot deck to do .

Yes, we've done our entire deck, 43ft LOA. It took three days to do. You'll need a pack of spare blades. It works well and is worth the (almighty) cost.

I think a really sharp blade in multi purpose oscillating tool is a cheaper alternative but isn't very useful without electricity!

The really cheap alternative is an industrial razor blade, as used in mini planes. Cover with a layer of tape from both ends, only leaving 10mm or so in the middle uncovered. Run along the seam at 45 degrees angle.
Works really well (but perhaps not if there is 100s of metres of seam to do…).

What is it called in the flooring industry? Probably much cheaper when ‘yacht’ and ‘HR’ are removed from the equation…
