Private ownership has transformed that area. 20 years ago it was a rotten apple with a poorly performing school, now the school's outstanding and the crime rate is lower than Teddingtons. There's still a hardcore of scrotes, but thank god they're outnumbered. If they double the amount of social housing it will have a 'Reading effect' on that part of the river.
I'm not saying there's no place for social housing, on the contrary.
