This link is from the Bournemouth Echo. The family of the skipper of an overdue catamaran which was being delivered from South Africa to Thailand are asking for help in scanning a wide search area using high definition satellite photographs on the Tomnos website. http://www.tomnod.com

Please join the search if you can. The more people who look, the greater likelihood the family will get the answers they are seeking.

I do wish people would use things like Yellow Brick, just to keep the relatives informed of their position or to give the search teams a better clue where to start their search.

I do hope that the crew and boat turn out to be OK.

Hundreds of Leopards, including mine, have been delivery sailed from Robertson and Caine to destinations all around the world and, as I understand it, not one has been lost.

Here's hoping they are just incommunicado.

I'm surprised there haven't been more offers to help. In between browsing these forums, I've 'searched' 1000 tiles even though it's unlikely that anything will be seen.

I've also been browsing, but I find it quite difficult to know what I'm looking at. Breaking waves can look like an object, so I have marked these, hopefully so someone more experienced can then evaluate them.

Presumably the theory of this site is that people make better spotters than software, and if a lot of people join in a scan of a very wide area is possible.
