Hi all
if there are any mast gurus out there i have a question for you.
i have a project under way and i am planning on putting a new mast on an 18 foot hull. i can pick up a 8 m small cat mast at a good price. i want to put spredars on it and use it as a conventional mast.
i know it wont bend for and aft like a normal mast but that is what i am counting on. it is just the sidways support i am concerned about, will it be possible, with the right rigging give the mast enough laterral support, or is this a lost cause.
