I suppose to some extent its how often you use the boat, I tend to change my oil once every two years, but doubt I do anywhere near the mileage Porto does, I just don't like throwing away perfectly good oil...!

I've just received the Cat oil and they supplied Exol Taurus 30. The quote/invoice just states Excelmotive30CE, this supposedly the recommended replacement since Cat stopped their own branded oil. Sadly have stumbled on this thread a bit too late. In two minds of whether to send it back but 75L is a pain to ship back.

John, do you mind me asking the approximate rate for the Exol Marine 123 from Clarke's? It's £126.57+vat/25L from Cat for the Taurus!!

The last time I searched I bought 2 x 25L Exol Marine 123 for my Cats, I received the following quotes, they may have increased since....:

info@lubetech.plus.com - Lubetech: £156 including VAT and delivery (so lets say with 5% discount: £148.20)
paul@clarkeoil.co.uk - Clarke Oils: £112.80 including VAT and delivery (Current supplier)
www.lubricantsupplies.co.uk - Lubricant Supplies: £117.80 including VAT and Collected (Previous supplier)

I bought from Clarke in the end, their service was very good.
