It is in (what is now part of) the South of France, on the Med coast, close to the Spanish border in the foothills of the Pyrenees.

I was there for lunch on Monday, by car, and lunch today by boat ... and a very nice place it is too!

Looks like a good one. We are lucky as Northern Europe and our part of the world is rammed with them. Nothing better if stuck in harbour on a rough day than exploring a Castle

This one from the ramparts of the Collioure castle.

December 2015 when they had a Christmas Fayre in the castle so you could walk around most of it ... I'm not sure if you can visit normally ... must check.
