Just wondered if it would be practically feasible to fit a diesel feed (Refleks or Dickinson) into a small cast iron stove.

If the internal mounting within the stove can be made secure, surely it just needs an access hole in the bottom or back of the stove to feed in the diesel supply pipe? Given the usual local shut off valves, etc., this sort of arrangement ought to be possible.

Does anyone have experience of doing this themselves?

My Dad used to reminisce how the Americans used to heat their Nissan Huts by doing just that-a drip feed onto a plate at the bottom of the stove-a cast iron frying pan works quite well.
BUT BE AWARE-the potbellied stoves ran glowing bright red!
A similar set up is used to convert solid fuel Raeburns and Agas to keroscene.
