Thanks

Peter

Hi
was in the marina a few days ago on a service. the owner was telling me that they have some good deals on. however electricity and water seem a bit much. there is also the new marina salinas in torrevieja they have 40 % off and electricity and water was free. travel lift and yard fees are OK.

regards

Lee

This was the Superyacht marina but the superyachts didn't arrive so it can now handle normal yachts. They are nearly empty so deals can be done - like including electrics and water for Cats maybe!

Good security and far enough away from noisy restaurants near the Club Nautica. No need to book. We may be there this winter.

They are offering mono rates to cats at the moment so they must have plenty of space.
Up to 4.30mtrs beam, so you'd have to check at 4.80mtrs, but sounds tempting for the next 8 months.
Wonder what they'd say about 7.5mtrs!?
Mind you those outer berths look pretty rock and roll.

Cartegena

We looked into overwintering this year on our 12m sloop. There are 2 options:
Yacht Port Cartegena: €2,272. Reasonable security, fairly basic washing etc facilities, pretty empty when we visited. We were told they would "do a deal" by a couple who used them last year, but we failed to get more than 5% off.
Real Club de Regatas Cartegena: €1,597. Good security, great facilities, right in the centre of town. They were quite full when we visited a few weeks ago, so your cat might not fit.
We loved the town, but worried we'd not find enough to keep us interested, so opted for Valencia in the end.

Not all berths in club are secure - some visting yachts end up along quayside. 15m from very noisy bars. Swell can be noticable in both but the club berths are far worse and also suffer from pilot boats leaving at speed at all times of day and night. We wintered in YPCT last year. Secure, friendly but quiet. NB walking around town at midnight on New Years Eve was disappointing. Bars closed, streets deserted, no fireworks.
