We will arrive in Cartagena about Dec first and will stay for three months. We are looking for a marina with a winter live aboard community. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks

We wintered there last year- the town, marina & community were all fantastic. Go to Yacht Port Cartagena which is to starboard as you enter the harbour. They will answer your radio if you call in & you might be lucky enough to have Peter help you berth. All the staff speak good english
A forum search will bring up lots of info from earlier this year.

Cartagena Spain marina

Hi John
We were in marina do Ragusa last winter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Say hello to the gang on Rio Luna for us. Thanks for the info on Cartagena.

I'm actually in the berth Rio Luna was in last year. They've moved to the other side of the runway (away from the pile!) so are my neighbours- nice people.

We are currently in YPC but will be going back to the UK for a few weeks over Christmas. Their are several liveaboards here which will be staying thoughout or having sort trips back. The liveaboard community here is great, we have weekly BBQ's, some are attending Spanish lessons. The town is very nice with many cafe bars and a good shopping area, they always seem to have something happening, for the next couple of weeks they have a Jazz festival on. So all in all I would recommend it.
