So you think that AML will only sell in the UK, and not export? I don't think their shareholders will be very impressed! Not quite the same -back then it's all about meeting EU emissions regs @ that time !
It's a car -not a boat - ticked the necessary boxes @ the time .
Something to do with trying the drag down average emissions for the whole group of modals to get underage bar - A v12 5 L or a shift towards this -you need a stool pidgeon - they got one !
Post Brexist --- well -AM can rid themselves of all this EU crap -and focus on the Day Job

AML post Brexit will have a wider choice ,more control on how to intergrate any green credentials -if any ,in what markets they wish to sell cars to ."
On the contrary; you do understand.I'm sorry, but I don't understand.
Agree --- I don,t know where you got the "changes regulations " from above ?Or the ref in previous post of me thinking AML will not want to export into the EU ? I never said or implied that .I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Brexit in no way changes the regulations in any of the markets that AML wish to export to. Brexit might change the UK regs, but this is most unlikely, as there is a move towards global harmonization of regs through the UN Working Party 29. This is incredibly slow as a process, but nonetheless the UK will either play to these rules or will not be able to export. The UK car makers will not want different rules in the UK to Europe as engineering and parts costs will increase. You might have seen Mike Hawes comments (CEO SMMT) the other day, and also Carlos Ghosn (CEO Renault/Nissan)?

Take the Cygnet for example -it was a moving target from Brussels that never actually happened (aggregation of emissions across range ) leaving AML with a marketing lemon .
Post Brexit any manufactor can decide in there own time scale ,at what cost ,etc how to comply with "the rules "
There will be options they can take to comply ,without Brussels telling em it as to be this way , that way ,then another way , following all directives zig zagging about .
They can wait for a hard target -set of "rules " and have the freedom of how to meet them in there own time Or work around them -As long as the Cat is skinned .
