This spring we had a most enjoyable two week bare boat charter out of Guadeloupe. We would like to repeat this experience in another part of the Caribbean.
When we arrived at our charter boat, we were told we had been upgraded. The vessel offered was newish and luxurious but it was not what I would wish to do any serious sailing in. The boat we had booked was still available and was a "proper" sea-going vessel.
How can I choose a boat properly equipped when all the photos show cabin interiors but seem to make little reference to instruments, chart facilities and the like?
