Cardigan Bay Aberporth range information

I see that Qinetiq at Aberporth have just stopped publishing their weekly schedules of the timing and extent of firing practice in Cardigan Bay.

There is now a number to phone. However this is not much help when planning a passage across the bay - previously they showed the exclusion areas within the range area so you could adjust your route if crossing on a firing day.

Any recent experience here on crossing the range?

There is an email list with firing details so if you're a member of a local club, get them added to the list so members can be kept updated.

We are planning to go Pwllheli to Fishguard on Thursday.I spoke to them today by phone and they emailed the coordinates for this weeks firing ranges. But they extend from Aberporth almost to Bardsey with a narrow gap which would require us to make a big dogleg.
So not impressed.
