Cardiff to milford

I would make sure the engine is reliable as you will probably use it most of the way, change fuel filters and take spares, any signs of black slime in the fuel means the dreadful bug. It will stop your engine within hours even with a clean filter. Lots of stuff online to help eradicate it.
 
You're not seriously suggesting that you should check with your insurance company before doing a short trip like this one? :eek:

It may be a good suggestion if he's planning to do it alone. Lots of policies restrict single handed times.
Personally I've done it many times and would say get on with it and enjoy yourself. The advice earlier to leave a couple of hours before HW Cardiff is the only thing to say, after that just keep pointing west and remember to turn right at the correct place. Simples!
