Cardiff Lock restrictions

Restrictions were in place last weekend, with a bit of lock management by barrage control controlling departure.
Entrance is on a first come basis although they are cramming a few more in!
Doing a good job!

We had no problems getting in or out, possibly something to do with the somewhat sporty conditions coming over! Fortunately my robust friends loved every minute, my wife would have been doing her nut!

I am surprised the Bay level is not raised by say 1m when low river flows are expected . . . this would go a long way to provide enough water for regular locking.

I'm not actually sure that is possible. I know our trot moorings and pontoons at CYC are on fairly straight up and down chain, so rising the level by a metre might see the buoys, and maybe even the pontoons under water.

The level has been up since just before the notices appeared. I don't think they can manage a metre as the water is overflowing a little as it is. There is a trailor near the slipway which has had it's tyres in the water for some time.
