I need to remove the carburettor on my 2HP yamaha 2B Malta outboard for cleaning.
Where can I find instructions on how to do so.
Looks to be fairly inaccessable so would appreciate some advice before attempting.

These drawings are from a PDF of the workshop manual.

I found it online but I can't remember where.

If you like I can send you the PDF of the whole thing.

Many thanks Gary
I have sent you a private message asking for your email address,

If you look at the top right of this page you should see a symbol of an envelope next to your username with a red number one on it. Click on that to see the private message.

Many thanks for info its very useful.
The first problem I have is actually getting at the carburettor.
It is surrounded by the "plastic "casing and cant see how to remove that.
Maybe the answer is in the pdf file so would appreciate if you can send.
appreciate your help

I've done this once or twice....

From memory.
There are two 10mm spanner size screws under the front half of the cowling going up into the crankcase.
Two Phillips screws holding the front and back halves of the lower cowling together on the inside. Take a picture of each of the little stainless clips that those screws go through before you slide those off.
The cowling should be free to wiggle off. (I usually take the back half off as well (more screws underneath) to get the petrol tap off and give it a clean out).
Now the carb is held on by two long screws through the airbox - don't lose the chromes spacers on each side.
The throttle lever has a screw holding the cable to it.
Before you take the carb off note the way the choke rod and lever engage.

Edit. Those two stainless clips are handed.
