Car Parking near Hardway (Gosport)

Just wondered where peeps park their cars at Hardway when sailing off on holidays.

The reason I ask this is that the local car park just up the road from Hardway only allows parking for 7 days - after which big fines and god knows what else!

Grateful for any help with this.
 
Not sure if this helps but if you have a mooring with Gosport Boat Yard they allow you to park in that carpark long term at no cost.

Thats the reason I am asking as I have a club mooring from April 1st so wont get the boatyard stickers for the car

You can park at my house, is it for a two week holiday?

Used to work in Gosport, and had the boat ashore at GBY, so know the problems.

No charge.

We live 6 miles west of Gosport.

Pm if interested.
 
Gosport BC will grant you an extension of more than 7 days, so you just need to contact them.
The reason is to do with cars being dumped (after being stolen etc) so as long as they know that you are parking there, there should not be a problem

Agreed, the council will issue a long term permit.

I will try the council. However, I hope the response is better than when I first moved the boat here back in 2007 -got no help whatsoever from them.

Thanks very much for the offer. I will bear it in mind if I have any problems with the council
