I want to hire a car on a Sunday from Plymouth to Southampton
After contacting the central sales desks of both Avis and Hertz who told me it was not possible, cos it was a Sunday and the office would be shut. I phoned the Plymouth Avis branch and very easily have arranged to hire a car picking it up on Sunday from a local marina and to drop it off at Southampton. Price £54. Worth remembering, I think. Thanks, Fatipa, fot the suggestion.
