Canvas tarp sources, etc?

Hi all.

I'm looking for a decent rectangular canvas tarp about 8m x 9m. I'm sick of that blue plastic stuff that is dirt cheap and flogs full of holes in no time.

Can anyone offer a supplier, perhaps the rough price I might have to pay, and the sort of weight (as in weight per area, gsm or similar) of canvas I might be looking for?

Rough price for decent acrilic canvas is 15£ per metre and it comes 1.5m on the roll. Sorry dont have a supplier local to you but any canvas sail or canvas workers will ussually supply.

I bought a monotex tarpaulin from tarpaulinsdirect.co.uk a couple of years ago to use as a temporary garage roof, and was very impressed with it. It did rip where I let it chafe over a very sharp bit of timber but I blame myself for that.
They're not cheap though - 9m x 7m is 92.50.

Call C & J in Chichester and mention Opal Marine 10% deal, I got a card from opal offering me 10% off and it seems to have done the job...

Cover hasn't turned up so can't comment on quality yet but their serivce is tip top, they came to measure by boat the same day!
