Having said goodbye to our Fairline Targa 30 last week (after just 6 months of ownership) we should be getting our new one delivered to West Wales in the next 10 days.

Have switched allegiance and gone to Sealine. Despite the concerns from friends and fellow boaters (including a few disgruntled brokers) we have plumped for an S38 and a damn good survey. And a cracker she is too. A 2005 model with ALL the extras and D4-260s. And all for the price of an S34 :) V V Happy.

Will post some pics when we get her.

Excellent choice - much more space. Look after her and she'll look after you.

Hope the weather picks up just in time for delivery!

Good luck!

I didn't know how good Sealine was, till I bought one !!!!

Really? Amazing the number of people who have been really negative because we are moving from Fairline to Sealine. We chartered an S42 in Denia last year and absolutely loved the boat and thought it was quality through and through. And the fact it saw us through an F6/7 in the med with not a scratch to family or boat made it even better. We would love one of those but size of berth and wallet have dictated otherwise. We were just about to push the button on an S34 then saw this one and have managed to negotiate a quite unbelievable price. So, what the heck :)

We love the use of space and also the general fit and finish but certainly seems there is a stigma about them in many camps. We were made very aware of the possible stress cracking issues (which this one does not exhibit) but even spoke to one of the main repairers in the Hamble who said they have only repaired 4 boats. Out of the many hundreds out there I personally do not see that as a big issue. Luckily also this one is still within the hull warranty.

I'm like a kid on Christmas eve :D

Why did you get rid of it?

Was too small.

  • Cockpit was too small and restrictive due to silly sunpad that is only good if you're a dwarf
  • Wanted an extra cabin to be able to go further afield
  • Engine bay was a jok and needed tyo be a contortionist o do any work in it at all.

Just the wrong boat for us although a very nice boat for someone just wanting a day cruiser / sports boat.
