Can\'t load photo for CG66 renewal

Anyone managed to get a photo of their boat onto the mcga site? I get:

Oracle Automation error '800a01b8'

OIP-04148: Unable to obtain a free database object from the pool

/cg66/viewPhoto.asp, line 11

I seem to remember a similar problem when I first registered.

Doesn't seem to be a temporary problem. Not browser related either.

Yup... wasn't able to update my picture either.... been like it for a very long while.... I just added a note in the notes field saying that the picture was out of date.....

Fortunately the description of "white with blue sprayhood" should be sufficient...

I thought I had successfully loaded one last year, but just checked and they don't have it - and I get the same error as you when trying to load one (but if I use safari instead of I.Explorer, I get a different error message ... says I need to specify a file name, even though I have done this!).

Its a mystery isn't it!!

I had the same problem but after many attempts found only landscape pictures are accepted. As yachts are portrait by shape, I turned the picture on its side to make it landscape and downloaded that! Serves them right if they get crooked necks....

I managed to post a picture a few weeks ago after a lot of messing around getting the picture small enough to up-load. I had an email saying that it had been approved. I've just checked and it's not displaying now.

Us too! Finally got it on the CG66 this Sunday after nearly a year trying(very!). Took most of the morning too, cropping it down to fit.
Herself took lowest possible pixel pic on her professional digital camera, but I still had to crop it down to just above the boom to fit it in.
I' d say it was useless to a Heli crew as a result. No view of spreaders, rig, radar, reflector to id vessel at range.
Who ever designed that page had never seen a yacht or rough weather, but probably got a promotion for being below budget!
They specify side or bow qtr views, but the pixel limitations/ cropping make it useless for SAR purposes among all the other AWBs out on a Solent Sunday. Hence our new Red Yankee! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
