The agony of choice.... /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I had the same dilemma between a Seahawk 400 9 foot inflatable or a Bombard Tropik inflatable with 7.5hp outboard. I just was not sure where to put the drinks cabinet /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

What area are you in?

What's to decide? Just ask Mrs Bigmoose which one has the nicer curtains. You're a braver man than I if you try to fight that kind of decision making.

Re: yes

he's for real. He's the Hon Sec of the Goa Mineral Ore Exporter's Association, and a regular on the FerrariChat UK board. Describes himself as "on sick leave in Goa" - we should be so sick, eh?

Dunno if he's bigger than Moose, though. Hailing from Goa, I'd have though a water buffalo or something would have been more like it...

BM,

I would love to be able to advise you buddy. Unfortunately my 58ft boat experience is somewhat limited, hence my sad attempt at trying to be funny. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

If I ever win the lottery and can afford a boat of that size, I will PM you with my findings, as for my current situation, anything you want to know about a 305 Sealine, then I am your man.... /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Last year we had a Sealine F43 and this year we have got a Fairline Phantom 46. Chalk and cheese comes to mind. The sealine is a super boat with a better quality and use of space of the interior. The Fairline is another world in respect to the the engineering quality and use of fittings etc. My dream boat would be the Squadron it has the same feel as the Princess 21m for less than half the price. If you are new to boating contact me out of the forum on rob@metrol.com to give you any little help that I can from my limited experience.

Happy hunting!

For what its worth and I dont have any experience of either, the Squaddie 58 is recognised as being an all round excellent boat and one of Fairline's best efforts. My impression and I'm prepared to be shot down in flames here is that because Sunseeker are less well known for flybridge boats in this sector of the market, the Man 56 might be more difficult to resell and you might lose a bit more money.
However, there's no question that both are fine boats from reputable manufacturers and, in the end, it's going to be down to your personal preference and maybe other factors like proximity of service agents for the boat and its engines
If it was my dosh (and I really wish it was!), I'd be favouring the Fairline because IMHO it has more elegant styling than the swoopy, flashy Sunseeker but thats purely personal taste
One of our forum contributors, jfm, has recently taken delivery of a Sq58 so await his learned comments

Have looked at both and as said before here both superb pieces of kit, my next target is Manhattan 64, simply like the layout and space a bit more, don't like the cost though, used for me I think!!

However, have spent a fair bit of time recently on and around an absolutely beautiful Squaddie 58 2004 and have to say probably the best Fly Bridge on the market, bar none. Little bit cramped to entertain in the dining area but a lovely sea boat too. Manhattan 58 only sea trialed and again great sea boat, not such a sociable fly or cockpit though. Nice examples normally/should have all the usual kit that is necessary on these beauties.

If you are very serious pm me as I have the numbers for the Squaddie owner who has literally in the last 48hours put it up for sale (Bought a bloody marina mansion in spain with day boat!!) and I kid you not it is the best used example you will ever see at a hell of a saving!! Coded too so could and has earned its keep. Paul

the manhattan 64 is no doubt far more desirable than the manhattan 56 or squadron 58....but then its way above me budget

spot on u r abt the squadie being a more sociable boat than the manhattan 56
quite frankly i am now more inclined towards the fairline than i was yesterday

tks for yr offer abt the squadron thats just come on the market
but this has got to be a new boat this time round

In My Dreams

Not really a dark horse more dreamy horse and I think the most telling word in my previous post is "Target". Mind you these Sunseekers guys are blooming good at their job, honestly have just had a call from their sales office in Mallorca saying a 2004 64 Mark 2 has "just come on the market at £900k, an amazing saving" !!!

If only!!! Perhaps in the future when pigs learn to fly and I haven't got new business ventures that keep eating cash.
