canopy stud screw broken

broke of one of the canopy screws at the weekend. It was actually the plastic block that broke that the following is screwed into

Can't see how I can repair this as the plastic block that is broken is within the the metal top part of the windscreen and there is no obvious way of inserting a new one to screw into.

Any sealine owners done anything similar and know how to fix it?

Don't the blocks go in sideways, then rotate 90 degs?

doesn't look like it - the blocks are a lot wider then the gap in the metal. It looks like they can only be put in a production stage, although I could be wrong.
It's not a major problem at the moment as it is only the one broken, but if anymore break in time it could be a problem.

Not had the problem so this is all theory. Can you squirt some epoxy glue through the hole into the gap behind the hole then after it's set drill a small pilot hole then screw in. Try and get as much epoxy in as possible.

it is possible to get lift the dot posts with a screw thread and a nut on. Can you go through the block and effectively bolt it into the frame ?

The glass and frame will have been supplied by Trend Products. Have a google for the tel number and give Robin Thatcher a call. I'm sure he will have seen this problem before.
