Hi,

Our Maxum is now in it's sixth season and the stitching on the canopy has started to give up in a few places. As the canopy material itself seems to still be sound, I'm assuming I can just get it re-stitched ?? Probably worth doing all the stressed areas, rather than just those that have already given up.

Any recommendations of people in the Poole area who could do this ??

Out of interest, what is the typical life expectancy of a canopy ?? It's made by Sunbrella and seems to have been well looked after to date.....just so I know when to start saving for a new one /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks

Paul

I had repairs done this year at Quay Sails They seemed to offer a good service.
Six years seems good to me for a canopy and if you can squeeze a few more out with repairs, that would be even better.

Ref the Gosport service - we had all our canopies repaired and new zips all round - by Coastal Covers which is at Royal Clarence. They did a great job at a very reasonable price. We were so pleased with the job and the price that we had them make a bimini cover for us as well.
