The forward canopy on our boat seems to have shrunk as it gets increasingly difficult to get the clips to meet, otherwise its in good condition so dont want to replace for the hell of it never mind the cost. Does anyone know if they can be stretched or if there is some product that can be applied to do the same?
Cheers

My guess is that you have a white Sealine canopy which is about 10 years old. That era of canopies just seem to get smaller and smaller. On a previous Sealine I sewed straps on to get an extra pull and eventually put poppers on the straps as it shrunk still further.
My suggestion is to bite the bullet and buy a new one made of decent material eg Sunbrella.

I've just had a visit (last weekend) from our local canopy guy - I wanted him to quote me for a new rear canopy as the existing one is still in good nick but it has shrunk.

He said that would be a waste of money as the canopy is perfectly serviceable as it is, so he's going to alter it slightly by removing the lower sections at each corner and extending them by fitting new, larger sections of the same fabric/shade.
I was pleasantly surprised. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
