Can anyone suggest if there is a way to clean areas that are trapped between canvas and vinyl? Not sure why the vinyl on my Sunbrella covers needs to overlap the canvas by 4-5 inches but it is a trap for green algae.
Can you get to to the back of the trapped bit of fabric? If so, try painting on a strong solution of Patio Magic to that area. Hopefully it’ll soak through to the front and kill the green.
I would not use patio magic or similar patio cleaners as my own experience it can lead to damage of the clear acrylic windows.
I have more recently used biological laundry liquid with water but ant yet be absolutely sure this does not damage the windows.
I don't have any canopy sections made in the way indicated in the images.
I would use salt water and a soft brush, a toothbrush would be good, and clean out the mould. Once clean, give it another once over with salt water then leave wet, do not clean with freshwater or dilute the salt down. The salt water dehydrates the mould spores and kills them. It doesn’t have to be sea water, just fresh water and a lot of salt. I use seawater.
