Cannes boat show

Hi Sam, hope you have had a great summer cruising on your beautiful new boat! Catherine and I will be at the show in Cannes for the Saturday, so would be nice to meet and catch up. We have had an epic 750nm trip on Gentileschi from Canet via the Riviera, Liguria and all the way down the Italian coast to the Marina d'Arechi in Salerno. The Amalfi coast and the surrounding cruising is fabulous - NO TRAMONTANA! - and the people so friendly, that we have decided to give up our berth in Canet and make the Marina d'Arechi our new permanent home.

In SOF for weekend on business, will be at the show Saturday, never been before, any favourite 'watering hole' ?

Well a great day out. 500 boats on the water. Anyone who has ever seen the water will find something to look over and all the stands we hit were very friendly.

Oh it was in the high 20's sunny and a nice breeze to keep you moderately cooled.

Now pondering about buying a flat versus changing to a mid 40's sports cruiser.

Would be great together to catch up. Not a lot available at the show, what about meeting up at an exit gate and popping across the road plenty of bars and cafes there?
