I currently own a sealine s25 2005 she has 168 hrs on engine the engine is a volvo 170hp she is fitted with full electrics gps etc trailer not included. can you please tell me what she could approx fetch in todays market thank you..

I would look in the back of MBM and see what dealers have them up at, then take off 15-20% but they are only worth what people are willing to pay. Very popular model and if not in a rush and not too gready should get a good price. I would think £40k on agood day.

Two weeks ago we sold a 2002 S23 with Kad32 in fairly good condition with brand new covers for £29,000. Pretty much a bargain.
The vendor had the boat on at £33,000 after reducing it from £35,000.
The sale suited the vendor as he was about to pay a further few thousand in mooring fees.
The sale suited the buyer as he got a nice boat at a fair price.

This week (the surveyor is aboard as I speak) we have had an offer accepted by the vendor of a Jeanneau Leader 805 with Kad43.
The boat is in a very similar sort of condition to the Sealine. It's bigger, but a reasonable "alongside" comparison.
This boat was on the market through the last part of 2009 at £45,000 and not getting much interest. At the turn of the year the vendor reduced the price to £41,500 and instantly got interest. For the same reasons as with the Sealine, he was well motivated to sell and accepted an offer of £37,000.

Both vendors are pleased that they have their boats sold before entering into too much cost for the 2010 season and both buyers have got themselves great deals.

The 2005 S25, if as described, should be on the market at £42,500. Expect it to sell for between £36,000 and £39,000 to a keen retail buyer.

Are you asking what to expect as a trade in value? - I note you are looking at buying another boat in a different thread.
If this is the case then the valuation takes on a whole different meaning - you cannot expect full market value for your boat as a trade in.
You may get close to it for a brand new model from a dealer, but otherwise I would expect something a great deal lower in the current climate.
