Can you register a sailing dinghy as your tender?

Thats interesting to see that the "free" day comes off your allocation. I worked on the principle that 6 day registrations were allowed, not 3 x 2 day. Its doesnt make that clear on the EA site where it states "purchasing up to six 1-day registrations" without stating that 1 day registrations are in fact two days, sneaky.

Martin

1 day registrations are just that , 1 day.

You have the option when you purchase your 1 day licence , if you don't want the second day free ( and hence it isn't deducted from your allowance ) just let the lock keeper know.

I always ask everyone , i never add it as a matter or course.

Please Sir, Sir, Have the rules changed??
I thought a one day licence ran from midnight to midnight. But a licences at 9 a.m and the licence expires midnight on the following day. That gives you 24 hours plus a lot more??

OR is that now called the second day free?

Indeed , a licence runs from midnight to midnight.

However , as you get the second day free ( should you so wish ) , you can arrive at 0001 on the saturday morning ( say ) and leave at 2359 on the sunday night , for the price of one day. But it WILL use up two days of your allowance.

It's been like that for years , as far as i know it was brought about to encourage people to come onto the river for 'the weekend' , but it was before my time.

As far as i know , it can only be done when you buy your licence from a lock , there is no option for the 'free day' on the visitors application form on the Agency website

I didn't think there was anything before your time (haha) A bit like Byron...

Methinks with the change in licencing (registration) rules, there needs to be much more flexibility in what tickets are available and when. That should generate more income for the EA...
