Sorry i didn't mean to be so long replying, my connection failed.
To my best belief
speed 7.7 knts log
wash 30 cm or less
The Full story
We had spent a few days with friends storm bound (all sailing boats)
I am always conscious of my wash but especially when passing friends or boats I recognise from my marina/club, we left together and they are well educated and understand their responsibilities to allow faster boats to overtake in the slow channels at minimal wash so as to avoid the hump latter.
When I received the photo I was appalled at the apparent wash and immediately apologised.
To my amazement I was assured there had not been a wash issue and no one had noticed any wash.
I took a second look at the photo
The yacht on the port side I knew was a long way off, 50-70 m and was not a consideration, he was motoring away and it is doubtful that the mobo wash would ever catch him up.
My friends in deep drafted yachts did come closer to me than I expected as they turned to port into shallow water well before I expected them to, perhaps they saw me there and thought it was deep enough.
Now to explain the apparent wash
There was a huge swell running across the shallows from the previous storms.
The apparent bow wave was caused from a wave hitting us.
The apparent stern wave is from the preceding wave taking the stern wave up.
The evidence / clue is seen from the yachts stern, note the swell has hit broadside on and note water disturbance to the stern.
By fluke the Yacht was perfectly upright as the photo was taken making it look like a calm day which it wasn't.
Of course this all assumes that it was actually my boat, as the name was not visible, and Felix is one of the most common boat names registered.
