Just heard on the radio that the P & O Aurora, having just left Southampton to start it's Round the World voyage, has "broken down" just off the IOW. Evidently, it has "propulsion problems" which are going to take up to 9 days to fix. The passengers are quoted as being "happy to stay aboard for the duration of repairs".
The same thing happened to this ship on it's maiden voyage. We saw it leave in a blaze of glory, fire boats escorting it down Southampton Water, a massive firework display etc. Next morning it crept back in at 06.00 "with propulsion problems...."
