Can it be negotiated?

Wise words. Why on earth do we do it? If we had spent our money on classic cars or fine art or property we'd be laughing all the way to the bank now. Is there a worse investment than boats?

The error is thinking of it as an investment. Boats, Houses and many other things should never be investments. That is not their purpose the moment someone tries to make it their purpose that is when all sorts of problems start.

For example I have been In the business of building houses all my life and I have only ever thought of them as places for people to live I never investments. My old dad used to say that he wished his house was worth one pence so that everyone could afford one as good...... Wise words I have always thought

Only partly right for me (and many actually) got a wife but we were never blessed with children

Unfortunately what would have happened is that a rogue landlord would have bought all the houses in Portsmouth for £20k in total and rented them out for £3500/month.

You have to think of it as an investment otherwise you wouldnt do it. You invest money in a boat to get a return in terms of pleasure and enjoyment. The only question is whether that return is worth the investment and sometimes I think it isnt (usually after a big bill comes in):disgust:

That is because those sort of people have no Honour..... They think money is everything
