A proper blue-water cruiser as the last time she was bunkered, I put 650 litres of fuel into her tanks and she also has a 1,000 litre fresh water tank.

I hear you have been down to see my (T)rusty old ketch whilst unusually in a marina, how are you getting on with yours now ? filling the fuel tanks is a depressing exercise isnt it ? well at least when you have to pay for it all.

My son did the water tank last and complained about how long he had to stand in the rain with a hose pipe ! maybe now he will get out of the shower a little quicker !

We moved aboard our Moody 39 in April. First frost of the year last night, wasn't too bad, but not looking forward to it getting colder. Hoping to convince my wife that we can head a long way south before this time next year!

In total honesty it is a silly boat for living on board.. the hulls are very cramped and we have to fold our bed away to use the main cabin.....

But we love her... And she sails like a deamon...

It's a pity that this thread hasn't yet reached its potential. I for one would like to learn more about the boats in question, your perception of the suitability as a liveaboard, good points, bad points, photos, data, budgets etc.

All this information would help me narrow down my own choices for the future, steer me clear of prejudices and blind alleys and generally improve my learning curve.

I think my own boat (Feeling 9m20) has been ideal for the type of sailing I have been doing up to now, ie a brilliant compromise of economy, comfort and performance but now with age and potentially more time available, my desiderata are changing.
