I bought my T38 with VP´s d4 300 from new in 2012. We did every service and looked after the engines (and the rest of the boat) accurately with the lokal VP dealer. In summary its a very well maintained boat with full service history. Nevertheless last year one piston broke and we had to rebuild one engine. A thread in the forum for this issue exists. Now everything is OK, and I have no water or oil in the bilge. Engines are running fine.

Now my question: Is there anything with the engines I have to look after, especially with the d4 300? I one thread Volvopaul comented " the usual faults many of which I can already list prior to a visit, not wishing to be blazee on this sadly they all seem to suffer the same issues and require the upgrades that some owners tend to not bother with..."

Can I make some upgrades, which are perhaps necessary ?

wishing you all a very nice boating season,
Curt
