Looks like I need a pre purchase survey, valuation and I might as well get the tonnage measurements done at the same time.

If anyone can recommend a British surveyor working down there I'd appreciate it.

Presumably you're not paying a deposit this time?

Derek Levy (Spheredawn Ltd) is down there all the time, he does coding surveys, I'm not sure about prepurchase though.
 
Nice deal. I gore w jimmy - Derek Levy (google spheredown) is a good guy and will do pre-purchase. He has done work on my boats, others on here, BartW's stabiliser install. Say hi to him from me

The surveyor we used last November, Bill Dunlop, Marintec at Lymington is UK based but certainly does lots of travelling to Europe carrying out surveys. When he did Hollywood for us he was very, very thorough and did excellent dry land and sea trial surveys for us..

Proof of the pudding ....etc. 7 Months on and we haven't found anything amiss on the boat that wasn't in the survey.

Bill is one of the most thorough surveyors I have ever dealt with, he's also got all the right test equipment.
