I want to replace the thru hull fitting and strainer on a 1988 Sadler 34. The strainer is a Guidi Terrreno which sells in sizes (BSP?) from 3/8 to 3/4 inch.

It is very hard to access the location to measure but I would like to source the right size of thru hull and strainer. Boat is currently afloat but will be dried out pre-season

Can anyone make an informed guess as to the sizes shown in these photos?

Thanks

Where is the fitting? On my 34 all seacocks are 3/4 inch except the toilet discharge, 1.5 inch. The original Bukh 20 used a 1/2 inch coolant seacock but I changed that for 3/4 inch when I replaced it with a Yanmar.

measure the OD of the threaded section with calipers. No need for digital vernier type . These'll do. The outlet hose tail should be the same size and may be more accessible.

or on line thread tables
