It's for sale locally, I'm half interested as I have a mooring a mile up the road for me that I can put it on and use it for a bit of fishing. But, no idea what it is, any ideas?

Looks a bit Shetland ish. Or a mayland? But probably something completely different. Does it really matter, just so long as it suits your purpose.

Probably not, just wondered what sort of sea keeping qualities the hull had really. All academic now anyway, just had a quick look at it but the pictures must have been taken in the late 1800's because it certainly doesn't look like that now!

It could be a Picton Domino 16? Definitely a late 70's/early 1980s UK yard design. Will work well for river/estuary fishing. What engine is it as it would need a 40hp-60hp to get the best out of it.

Thanks for that, it certainly does look like it.
I'm going to give it a miss though, the pictures the broker supplied show it as a clean, tidy looking little vessel but they're very old pictures as it's pretty rotten now, even has a large hole in the wooden floor where someone's fallen through it!
It's got a 50 Evinrude on it, but it "looks" very neglected, it's been out of the water for a long time and is as old as the hills.
Shame really, it's a very solid looking design of boat, it has a nice high freeboard and looks as if it would be very stable for its size. But, it's too neglected for me as I only want something to potter around on without having to spend too much time or money on.

The difference between a clean well looked after boat and a 'Shed' at this size and age is probably around £1500. Always pay that extra as the cost of renovation far outstrips cost of buying a clean model. Also a boat is to use and fettle, not sit in your drive in bits! Good hunting, hundereds of boats around.
