Hi
Just doing some figures for a potential purchase and wondered roughly what an annual service would cost. Only looking for a ballpark figure so if anyone has had an outboard of between 30 and 70 Hp serviced recently would you mind divulging the cost? Many thanks

I have just had my rib outboard serviced last week - Yamaha F50 four stroke with a Yamaha main dealer for a cost of £300 inc. VAT & Labour.

That includes Engine oil & filter, Gearbox oil, Impeller, Spark Plugs, Fuel filter and various smaller value sundries such as drain screws. I also had the timing belt changed as it's now 5 years old (Yamaha state this in the service schedule) at an additional cost of around £100 inc. VAT & Labour.

If it's any help, my Suzuki DF300 was £320. It was the 'big' service.
This included six spark plugs, new impellers, loads of little anodes all over the place, a big anode at the base of the engine mount and loads of oil. I was even even given a print out of the engine diagnostics since new which was a fascinating read, not.
